November 15 - December 6, 2014

De Luca Fine Art is pleased to present LOVE DITTIES, a solo exhibition by Tony Calzetta. Baffled viewers may ask what are these strange images, these “planes” or “cars,” these strange vessels that float upon placid waves, these “meteors” or “rockets” that whoosh from speckled skies? It is difficult to define them and that is exactly Calzetta’s intention.

CAMILLA SINGH: Filthy by Nature
October 18 - November 13, 2014

Camilla Singh has been exploring the subject of work and its role in creating values, shaping modes of conduct and behavior and affecting collective psychology, daily habits and emotional and physical well being.  Through the multi-disciplinary approach of her studio practice she looks for ways to question the nature of work, why it is highly regarded, and what it means to disengage from that aspect of culture and to see work-culture through another lens.  In this exhibition she releases the tools and talismans of curatorial practice from the uniforms of the curators they were created for.

GIUSEPPE DE LUCA
May 10 - June 7, 2014

De Luca Fine Art is proud to present Infinito, new paintings by esteemed Italian painter Giuseppe De Luca.

Over the years De Luca’s work has become subtler and yet more expressive, while his subjects remain rooted in what he knows best: His homeland, Sicily. The sea and the Iblean Mountains of the area are the main influence of his work. The seashore where boats, piled on the sand, are lost in the sea-sky light of a hot afternoon whose time is marked by lolling waves and muted ship bells. Farmers, fishermen wives and grandmothers: every nuance and emotion of a long-lived life carefully revealed through layered monochromatic patches of dappled light.

De luca fine art is pleased to present our first exhibition of 2014 by Montreal artist Pierre Bruneau, appropriately titled ?!?  For more than twenty years, Bruneau has focused on the phenomenon of phosphorescence in its myriad interpretations. His paintings morph as they react to variations in light. In the dark, images reveal themselves, filigreed in the matter, immaterial, ungraspable. As darkness recedes, the fading figurations give place to rich monochromatic pieces.

De luca fine art is pleased to present the exhibition Point Blank - The Art of War by Viktor Mitic. The work by Mitic challenges our assumptions of what role an artist should play.
